I live in our family’s ancestral house. Let’s just say that the house is way way older than me, and needs a touch of renovation in all areas. Primarily, I was not that interested in this whole bathroom renovation thing since my mom’s family is kinda complicated and I, personally, don’t want to get entangled with it (or maybe it’s just too late for that) and I didn’t feel that we are a part of that house (complicated story). Since I’m, as you can say, a frustrated interior designer, I am bent into beautifying the interiors I move around that’s why, despite my personal feelings, I am enjoying this whole renovation thing.
Although, I had a different color scheme for our new bathroom, my mom went panic buying the last minute yesterday so we didn’t get to buy the wall tiles I like. We bought shiny beige wall tiles instead of the brown and white textured tiles I had in mind. I definitely enjoyed my tour around the big hardwares in my community. Aside from my obsession for school supplies, I have a fixation for anything related to stylish living and house keeping. I enjoy buying stuffs such as cute trash cans, jars and stuff, plates, lawn scissors, garden tools, cute tiles, detergent and stuff. If I have use for paints and stuff, I would have stock up my room with it.
I am definitely looking into buying my own house in the near future. I want to strut my interior designing prowess then, however as of now, I would just have to make do with small yet exciting home projects nonetheless.
Below is the architectural rendering of our bathroom made by James of LazyAnimation. I didn’t quite gave him the exact color of the walls tiles but he is working on the new rendering as I am writing this post. Maybe I will post a picture of our bathroom after the carpenter wrecked havoc on it yesterday (Our bathroom is pretty scary. Imagine abandoned house with dead bodies in it, that pretty much is the scene that plays in our minds when we saw the tile-less bathroom).
The color of the wall tiles is sort-of beige and yellow. Notice the pebble drain near the shower, it, well, hides the drain and adds a more zen effect in our bathroom. I have to say that the arced curtain rod adds a bit of drama.
Another pebble drain near the mirror. I was thinking of adding a small cabinet or table in that corner wherein we can store our stuffs. I will be buying a horsetail plant taking the zen effect to a higher level.
Over-all our bathroom is very simple. I still think the brown and white tiles would add a bit of class instead of theses shiney beige ones. Anyway we have to work around on what we have. If you have suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment.
