Please Pray

3 04 2008

Earlier this morning, my grandmother got admitted for Hemorrhagic stroke. I found her lying on the floor after I heard a loud banging noise inside her room. She can’t move her left arm and leg, and she could barely pronounce the words she uttered. That was my first time to ever see my lola so vulnerable and helpless.

Out of the symtoms mentioned, these are the only ones present.

  • Weakness; inability to move a body part
  • Numbness, she expressly said that her lef arm and leg felt numb
  • Speech difficulties
  • Sudden headache
  • sleepiness

One of the prime cause of her stroke is her high blood pressure. When my sister took her BP right after her fall, it was 200 / 90. “Most often, hemorrhagic stroke is associated with high blood pressure, which stresses the artery walls until they break.

I am asking you guys to pray for my grandma that she may regain her strength soon. She is currently in the ICU since the doctor would like to closely monitor her progress. Please help me pray that she may have a longer life and a healthy one as well.

There are a lot of things in my head. My lola, work, dogs and stuffs that my “good” aunt told me about. Stuffs that mostly concerns me, my mom, and my siblings. Family matters as I’ve said is complicated especially when dealing with my mom’s family and relatives.

I always feel right on doing the things that I do, and I wonder right then there when words fell from my aunt’s mouth, if I am really doing the right things now. Have I been a good person? I have been, at least from my perspective. (I am again thinking too much)

My prayers are with you and your grandma…and your prayers for my friend are a grace for us.
