Dream House in the making

21 08 2007

Ever since I was a kid, I have been secretly hankering my dream house. I always find myself lost amongst furnitures and plates in most department stores.  Just yesterday, my boyfriend have encouraged me to nourish my love for architecture and interior design by asking me if I would want to design furnitures and furnishings for their family business (as a hobby though). I just realized, that fate has been good to me. My dreams, albeit simple, are slowly coming to reality although some already came true.

Over the years, my dream house never really took shape and somehow now it is. I would want my house to have this contemporary minimalist feel. Dark wood and white walls. A beige abaca rug with huge throw pillows with ensembles of bead work.  I could not leave out my pet Doberman laying lazily on the white tiled floor. And yes, plants in the house however I would have to work on my green thumb defect. I would also dedicate one huge white wall wherein I can hang framed photos of myself, the people I love and my soon-to-be collection of photos I took out of my soon-to-be photography hobby.  Oh yes, I can perfectly see my house now and this vision, hopefully, will guide me especially with my financial goals.

Here’s a few articles on saving up for your dream house.
