A sudden surge of creative wave

28 06 2007

To be consistently facing the computer 45 hours a week with a limited access to inspiration often leads to writers block or to a plain dull cycle. Life felt utterly boring and the sloth in me is starting to take over. Taken over by the guilt of absolutely doing nothing, I felt I needed to change for the better and that’s when a wave of creativity hit me. This blog has been dormant for months and only now did I feel the need to rev it up.You’d definitely be hearing more of me.

As to those people out there who share my guilt of doing nothing, I suggest you start doing something different. Go out of your comfort zone and be bold. I have been trying to go out of my routine ways and I’ve done things which I haven’t dream of doing, exploring. I would be expounding my exploring activities once I find the courage to write about it, for now its just exploring. A few tips to get your started.

  • Read of things entirely new to , be it utterly erotic and liberating or conventionally religious.
  • Enroll yourself in a class thats creative
  • Do the things you have been wanting to do
  • Travel
  • Indulge in the good things of life. Eat as many as you want or drink the most expensive coffee you have dying sink your taste buds with.
  • Meet new people. I really enjoy meeting artists and people who thinks unconventionally.
  • Listen to music and sing your heart out. Start singing out load by yourself in your and then soon sing with an audience maybe at your local karaoke bar.
  • Dance.
  • Don’t care of pleasing others, please yourself first.
  • Laugh, laugh out load, laugh out hard.
  • Solve puzzles. I especially enjoy Sudoko (did i spell that right?)
  • Write to get your mind some perspective.
  • Be spontaneous yet keep your life organized at the same time.

The good thing about our life is that we have the power to design it and redesign it according to how we want it to be. Living is an everyday art and it takes a ounce of inspiration once in a while for us to be happy. I may have missed out ways on how to jump start your creative change. If you have ideas to share, feel free to speak out.
